I had this accordion restored and appraised ($4,500) by an accordion specialist in Canada. His work was flawless, but due to my inability to advance on the chromatic system I have no reason to hold on to this fine instrument. He installed new hand made reeds, new treble side buttons and new hardware for the exterior. Plays and sounds as a new accordion, but the body shows minor wear and tear. This is a PIGINI Professional C220 model. Here are the specs: TREBLE SIDE: C-system, 5 rows, 87 buttons (46 notes - MI/DO#), 3 voices (hand made reeds, no chamber/cassotto), 7 treble switches, 3 chin switches; BASS SIDE: 120 bass, 5 voices (hand made reeds), 5 switches. There is a service stamp on the inside to verify the work done, and the work was completed on October 24th of this year. The accordion is dry-tuned and comes with the original back pad, which shows wear and tear. I had him install all white buttons, however there are black dots on the side of the buttons that were supposed to be black, so a student can still pick it up as easily as a professional.
