King's 1974 Gibson ES-355TD Semi-Hollow GuitarWe are both thrilled and proud to offer this vintage 1974 Gibson ES-355TD Semi-Hollow Guitar which was owned and played by B.B. King.This guitar is in excellent to near mint condition and exactly as Mr. King custom-ordered it from Gibson. It plays and sounds FANTASTIC!!!The walnut finish is completely intact and the ebony fretboard  is gorgeous with no splits or cracks.The "Varitone" system sounds great and provides a wide range of tonal possibilities to experiment with.As specified by Mr. King, the guitar features a factory mono alteration and Gibson tremolo. Output is from the neck pickup only; also at Mr. King's request.The stop tail plugs are present but no "Custom Made" plate is included.This is one of the best-playing, best-sounding guitars we have ever seen!! Please note that the tuners have been replaced with Schaller's.The previous owner purchased this guitar from B.B. King himself in Manhattan in the late 70's.We have a letter which provides provenance as well as photos of Mr. King playing the guitar.A non-original hardshell case is included.This is a fantastic player as well as a very solid piece of music history.
