This exquisite violin is dated with an original label, dated 1769. It was previously repaired in 1899 by violin repairer Richard Brueckner, based in London, whose inscription of this repair is recorded in handscript within the violin. The instrument was last appraised by a top violin expert at 120,000 Euros, and was recently completely reconstructed by a violin restorer in Mainz - Germany, (at the cost of 5,000 Euros). It is now therefore in absolute top playing condition, and is currently on loan to a top violin player. Anyone wishing to view, examine, play, or test the instrument prior to auction end, is welcome to do so simply by contacting me on my e-mail celtic-lines@celtic-lines.com whereupon details of the current location of this instrument will be supplied, and contact details of the violin restorer will be provided. Understandably, collection of the violin in person by the winning bidder will be accepted.
