Played professionally by myself and Ethan Stang of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra before me. Wooden head has a mended crack, but is totally playable, giving the instrument a reedy sound which is excellent for Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe. Silver head great for Sousa. This was meant to be an "all-in-one" instrument; not only is it unique from a collector's standpoint, its gorgeous tone makes it the envy of any musician Case included.
