It starts out as the enhanced professional saxophone from Yanagisawa with a Solid Bronze neck, body, bow and bell. Solid bronze resonates with a darker, mellower sound compared to brass. Everything in the resonance column is Solid Bronze and the keys are brass for strength. The entire sax is polished and then hand very elaborately engraved over the bell and bow and also over the lip of the bell and the neck. Then a unique alloy of pure silver and gold is plated over the entire saxophone to provide a stunning, durabe plated surface. No lacquer to dampen the harmonic content so the sound is warm and complex. This saxophone features lots of keywork improvements over the A901... a fully ribbed body for excellent long term durability, gold-plated thumb hook and rest, double arm low C and B keys, improved, innovative low C#-B ramp.
